Be the Beacon: Celebrate One Day, One U of A April 9

Brandon Ngo

In the early 1900s, a sunrise over Old Main and the surrounding Ozark Mountains inspired a song that would become the U of A's alma mater. In its verses, the university is described as a "beacon of hope," capturing a belief that it could open doors, expand opportunity and shape the future of Arkansas.

That belief comes into focus during One Day, One U of A — a 24-hour effort centered on supporting the people, ideas and programs that move the university and the state forward.

More than 30 projects are now available to preview, led by students, faculty and staff from across campus. The projects will help advance student success initiatives, experiential learning opportunities and research priorities.

New this year, the Beacon Brigade offers another way to build momentum. Advocates can share projects and messages with their networks or use personalized links to track the reach of their outreach.

Supporters can preview the projects, help raise awareness across their networks and be part of the growing momentum surrounding One Day, One U of A, with early giving already underway. Learn more at oneday.uark.edu
