The university community is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completed Maple Street Improvements Project on Friday, Oct.16, at 10 a.m. at the Pi Phi Gates along Maple Street.
In partnership with the City of Fayetteville and federal partners, the ribbon-cutting will recognize the work to modernize the half-mile corridor between Garland Avenue and the Razorback Regional Greenway. The project includes a protected two-way bicycle path, improved pedestrian crossings, drainage improvements and landscaping, supporting everyday trips through campus and the surrounding community.
"We appreciate the City of Fayetteville's partnership in delivering these improvements, along with the contributions of everyone involved in the project," Chancellor Charles Robinson said. "Maple Street is part of daily life on our campus, serving thousands of students, faculty, staff and visitors every day. This investment will strengthen our connection to the broader Fayetteville community and benefit our campus for many years to come."
