Parking Launches New App to Assist in Navigating Campus

Download Park UARK, the university's newest mobile app designed to make finding parking on campus an easier and more efficient process.

Some of the benefits that can have an immediate impact on the parking experience include:

• Easy Access to Parking Information: Drivers can input their permit type and instantly see which lots/garages are available. The app can provide directions to parking areas, hours for required permits, whether a lot needs to be vacated and more.
• Notifications: Receive timely notifications directly on your mobile device for events that may affect parking. This includes lot closures, athletic events, concerts or other circumstances that may require action in parking locations. (Make sure you are logged in to your UARK email to receive notifications. You can check this under "Profile" -> "Account & Login.")
• Access to the Parking Portal: MyParkingAccount is now linked within the app, giving users an easy access point to the portal where permits can be purchased and citations can be managed.

Park UARK also uses crowdsourcing to determine where drivers are parked on campus to provide estimations on real-time parking usage. The more people who download the app and share location, the more accurate the parking data will be.

The app allows users to submit feedback on space availability, which helps create a more precise estimate on available parking across campus.

Park UARK will interface with the parking guidance systems that will be operational in the Harmon and Stadium parking garages later this fall. The systems will provide real-time information on specific space availability on each level, so drivers can know ahead of time where available spaces are in the garage.

Park UARK is free to download and is available on any iOS or Android device.
