Test of RazALERT Emergency Notification System Planned Tuesday, Sept. 1

The U of A will conduct a test of its RazALERT Emergency Notification System Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m.. The test notifications will be clearly labeled as a test and distributed through multiple communication channels, including: 

• Email 

• Text messages 

• Phone calls 

• Campus digital signage 

The purpose of the test is to verify that emergency notifications are delivered properly and that campus communication systems function as intended during critical situations. 

Messages displayed on campus digital signage may remain visible for approximately 15 minutes. Building executives and IT staff are encouraged to check digital signage displays during the test to confirm messages are appearing correctly. 

Members of the campus community are encouraged to review and update their contact information in Workday prior to the test. Keeping contact information current helps ensure emergency notifications are delivered through preferred communication channels.  

To receive RazALERT messages via personal cell phones, you must provide your personal cell phone number and it must be designated as "Mobile" in Workday. This information can be reviewed and/or updated manually at any time.   

If you do not receive a RazALERT test message Tuesday, Sept. 1, please double check your personal contact information in Workday to ensure that you both have a cell phone listed AND have it designated as "Mobile." Additional information about the RazALERT system is available at alerts.uark.edu. 

This test is part of the university's ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency communications and ensure timely alerts reach students, faculty, staff and visitors across campus.
