Hayden Lucas has joined University Advancement as associate director of development for the School of Law. Lucas brings experience in donor relations, scholarship management and campuswide engagement efforts.

As associate director of development, Lucas will support the School of Law's philanthropic priorities by cultivating relationships with alumni, donors and friends of the university. He will contribute to fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor engagement efforts and assist in advancing development strategies that enhance the school's long‑term impact.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to serve the School of Law in this capacity," Lucas said. "I've joined an incredibly strong team, and I'm looking forward to making a positive impact alongside them."

Lucas most recently served as associate director of student engagement with Walton Student Success, where he managed a scholarship portfolio exceeding $1.5 million, partnered with development staff on donor engagement and supported strategic initiatives across the college. He previously worked as a career coach in career connections and as a senior coordinator in the University of Arizona's Office of the Registrar, where he supervised staff, managed federal work‑study budgets and utilized CRM systems to manage records, track engagement, and support reporting and operational efficiency.

"From our first conversations, it was clear that Hayden brings energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for helping others," said Erin Feller, director of development and external relations for the School of Law. "His experience, coupled with his strong connection to the University of Arkansas, makes him an outstanding addition to the School of Law. I am excited to work alongside him and confident he will make a meaningful impact not only on our team, but also out alumni, donors and students."

As a Fulbright College alumnus, Lucas holds a master's degree in sociology and a bachelor's degree in criminology from the U of A. His academic and professional experiences give him a deep understanding of the university's mission and the transformative impact of philanthropy on students and programs.

"We are excited to welcome Hayden to the team," said Scott Varady, vice chancellor for advancement. "Hayden's experience as a University of Arkansas alumnus and member of the Walton College Student Success team give him a unique perspective on the impact of philanthropy on our students and across campus."
