U of A Student Employees of the Year Winner Announced

The Student Employment team in the Offices of Career Connections wishes to recognize the University of Arkansas Student Employees and Supervisor of the Year winners who were recognized for their achievements and contributions to student employment last Thursday, April 16. 

Congratulations to the 2026 Undergraduate Student Employee of the Year, Emma Ming. Emma, serves as the senior peer advisor in the Study Abroad Office. She has transformed the Study Abroad Peer Advisor role into a true advising position by leading and training peers, improving advising systems, representing the office across campus, and conducting professional-level outreach and advising comparable to full-time staff. 

Congratulations to the 2026 Graduate Student Employee of the Year, Kindler Norman. Kindler is a lead teaching assistant in the Physics Department. In this role, she has demonstrated initiative, leadership, and teaching excellence by coordinating TAs, designing grading rubrics, and implementing Gradescope. She has strengthened course organization and consistently delivered well-attended problem-solving sessions praised by students and faculty. 

Finally, congratulations to the 2026 Student Employee Supervisor of the Year, Riley Barry. Riley serves as the Assistant Director of the Career Studio. In her role, she provides clear guidance, individualized mentorship, and career development support while fostering student leadership, trust, and well-being through one-on-one coaching, direct communication, and genuine care for students. 

In addition, we would like to recognize the Student Employee of the Month winners for the 2025 - 2026 academic year. The Student Employee of the Month Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate student employees who have demonstrated exemplary performance, dedication, and impact.
