Truth, Bias and Social Networks: A Talk on Social Networks and Accuracy

Photo: Submitted

Join the Donald D. Sieger Speaker Series at the U of A for an insightful talk by Dr. Weihua An of Emory University. In "You Said, They Said," he explores how we measure truth in social data—examining why self-reports often fail, when peers provide more accurate information and how social networks shape what we know about others.

Co-sponsored by the Department of Sociology & Criminology and the Asian Studies Program at the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the U of A, this event is open to all students. Join us on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in GEAR room 258.
