"Our purpose as a student newspaper has always been to deliver students the news that matters to them," said Cooper Gant, editor-in-chief of The Arkansas Traveler. "With the app, the Traveler is stepping into the digital age to quickly deliver our readers the news they need — where they need."

"I'm excited to get the Traveler's award-winning content into students' hands — literally — but what makes this app special is what it means for our reporters and editorial staff. They're gaining real-world digital journalism experience: sending push notifications, optimizing for readers and building the skills that define the industry today," said Reagan Netherland, digital content manager of The Arkansas Traveler.
