In the early 1900s, a sunrise over Old Main and the surrounding Ozark Mountains inspired a song that would become the U of A's alma mater. In its verses, the university is described as a "beacon of hope," capturing a belief that it could open doors, expand opportunity and shape the future of Arkansas.
Today, One Day, One U of A is underway — a 24-hour effort that invites the U of A community to be the beacon.
More than 30 projects are live, led by students, faculty and staff. These projects support student scholarships and resources, experiential learning opportunities and advance key initiatives across campus.
