The Flats on the Hill are one of the new off-campus housing options for graduate students.

The U of A is introducing two new off-campus housing options designed for graduate students seeking simplicity, affordability and a quiet place to thrive. Located just minutes from campus, Flats on the Hill and Dunn Avenue Apartments are university-leased properties.

Graduate students may begin contracting now, with 12-month leases starting in early August and move-in available as early as Aug. 1.

Their locations offer quick connections to campus resources while providing a quieter residential environment. Both properties are within walking distance or a quick bus ride from campus, and just a short walk from Razorback Transit stops.

Rates include utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry and parking. The university provides full bedroom and living room furnishings at no additional cost. Monthly, charges will be billed to students' Workday accounts, creating a simple and predictable payment process.

Monthly Rates:

  • Flats on the Hill
East of campus, near Center Street and Hill Avenue
Apartments: $775 per bed, per month
Townhouse: $800 per bed, per month
  • Dunn Avenue Apartments
South of campus, along Dunn Avenue between 11th and 13th streets
    One-bedroom: $875 per month
Two-bedroom: $775 per bed, per month

The new housing options are offered with graduate students in mind. Private bedrooms with desks create study-ready spaces, while shared living areas provide room to collaborate with roommates - or simply relax after a long day of research, teaching or coursework.

Both Flats on the Hill and Dunn Avenue Apartments are designated for enrolled graduate students and do not accommodate non-enrolled family members. Students can request a specific roommate through the Housing Portal or be matched based on lifestyle preferences indicated in their application.

Students may also continue to enjoy campus dining locations during the academic year through meal plans or pay-as-you-go options.
